Game Notes for 4.11 at Norfolk

The G-Braves may officially be on a roll after a 7-1 win over the Norfolk Tides last night, their second-straight win.  Joey Terdoslavich (2-run HR), Josh Wilson and Greg Paiml all drove in two runs each, backing another strong effort from right-hander Todd Redmond.  Redmond became the first G-Braves starter to throw a quality start in 2012, yielding only a run on four hits over 6.0 innings while striking out seven.

The win locked up Gwinnett’s first series victory of the year, now they’ll look for their first sweep as they close out the series at Norfolk today.  Right-hander Erik Cordier (0-0, 0.00) will make his second start of the year.  First pitch at Harbor Park is scheduled for 12:15 PM.

Today’s Game Notes:  4.11.12 GBraves Game Notes

You’ll see on the front page of today’s notes that outfielder Jose Constanza, a Triple-A All-Star with the G-Braves last year, is back on the roster.  Constanza was optioned to Gwinnett by the Atlanta Braves yesterday in order to clear space for Chipper Jones.  The active Gwinnett roster is now back to 25 players.

Opening Night at Coolray Field is set for tomorrow at 7:05 PM.  Right-hander Julio Teheran (0-0, 16.20) is set to start against the Durham Bulls.  More information on the opener to come tomorrow.
