G-Braves Notes for 5.2.12 at Columbus
Yet another day with not much to write about. That’s thanks to the rain that forced a suspension of last night’s G-Braves/Columbus Clippers game at Huntington Park in Columbus, OH. Stefan Gartrell homered for an early 1-0 Gwinnett lead, but Andy LaRoche answered with a homer off of right-hander Julio Teheran to knot the game at 1-1. When the rains came, J.C. Boscan was about to step to the plate with two outs and both Gartrell and Josh Wilson aboard. The action will pick up at that same spot at 5:35 PM and continue the full nine innings.
Following the completion of game one, there will be a seven-inning game two. That will pit G-Braves’ right-hander Eric Junge (3-1, 3.52) againt Clippers’ right-hander Zach McAllister (2-1, 3.00).
