The first place Gwinnett Braves (27-19) begin a 10-game stretch at home over the next 10 days, beginning Thursday from Coolray Field. The first series for the G-Braves will be against the Rochester Red Wings on the back stretch of a home-and-home series. Gwinnett is coming off a split of the four-game series with the Minnesota Twins affiliate to conclude the G-Braves eight-game road trip, which they went 3-5 on. This four-game set marks the final time these two teams will meet one another in 2012, barring a playoff appearance.

Following the departure of Rochester after four games, Lehigh Valley will stop by Lawrenceville for the week. The IronPigs are scheduled to play four games at Coolray Field, in their first four of eight games docked against Gwinnett this season. The G-Braves will venture to Pennysylvania for a four-game season series finale during the second week of June. Be sure to stop by Coolray Field as the Philadelphia Phillies affiliate boasts former Hall-of-Famer Ryne Sandberg as their manager. The second-year skipper led his IronPigs to the playoffs as the lone wildcard in his first year calling the shots.

The final two games of the 10-game homestand will bring the second place Charlotte Knights into town. The Chicago White Sox affiliate has not backed off the heels of the G-Braves, as most expected by the stage in the season. However, Gwinnett and Charlotte have split their season series so far this season with four wins per team. Following the two games against the Knights, the G-Braves will have 11 games remaining against their IL South Division foe, including two games in Charlotte immediately following the G-Braves current homestand.

Gwinnett is boasting both International League Players of the Week for the past week. Pitcher Todd Redmond received the IL Pitcher of the Week award, while Ernesto Mejia walked away with the IL Batter of the Week. Both join teammate Stefan Gartrell as this years G-Braves recipients of the award this season. All three will be looking to shoulder the load as Gwinnett looks to start another impressive streak at home from Coolray Field.
