Mother’s Day Diamond Dig Rescheduled For Today

Sunday is Family Sunday, featuring pregame catch in the outfield and a post-game kids base run for children 12 and under. Sunday is also the makeup date for the postponed Diamond Dig, originally scheduled for May 13. Select ladies will have an opportunity to dig for a pair of diamond earrings following the conclusion of Sunday’s game between the G-Braves and Rochester Red Wings.
The Diamond Dig was originally scheduled for a Mother’s Day game against Toledo, but was postponed due to rain. The game has yet to be rescheduled because the G-Braves and Toledo are not supposed to play each the rest of the 2012 regular season, but depending on the playoff picture could have the game made up near the end of the year if necessary. Either way, Sunday should provide a great deal of fun for all those involved, especially those lucky ladies fortunate enough to dig up a pair of diamond earrings.
The Gwinnett Braves will also be acknowledging the Gwinnett Senior Golden Games for the “I Have a Dream” themed community outreach day, recognizing organizations that grant wishes, dreams and opportunities for the youth, elderly, injured or sick.
Tickets for all Gwinnett Braves home games are on sale now at the Coolray Field Box Office. Call (678) 277-0340 or visit GwinnettBraves.com for more information.
