Todd Redmond was reassigned back to Triple-A Gwinnett by the Atlanta Braves following their win in New York against the Yankees on Wednesday afternoon. The right-hander is having an outstanding season for the G-Braves, and widely considered his most consistent season in the minor leagues. Unfortunately, Redmond did not make an appearance for Atlanta after he was promoted to the big leagues for the first time in his professional career. Thursday, the righty will be seeking his team-leading seventh win and an all-star appearance amidst his final statement making opportunity before 2012 All-Star voting concludes on Friday.

Jose Morales went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and both Anderson Hernandez and Yamaico Navarro drove in two RBIs as the Indianapolis Indians routed the Gwinnett Braves, 10-2, on Wednesday night at Coolray Field. G-Braves’ starter Eric Junge suffered the loss with five runs, four earned over 4.0 innings.

Tyler Pastornicky (2-for-5, RBI), Lance Zawadzki (2-for-4, RBI) and Jose Constanza (2-for-5) all finished with multi-hit games for the G-Braves.

The G-Braves (37-37), losers of 17 of their last 22 games, drop to the .500 mark for the first time since the club was 3-3 on April 10. Gwinnett remains 5.0 games behind Charlotte for first place in the International League South Division. The Knights (42-32) lost their second straight game to Columbus, 5-3, on Wednesday night in 10 innings.
