Video: Rage Against….Jordan Parraz’ Walk-up Music

It sure was quiet when the Gwinnett Braves everyday right fielder Jordan Parraz was out of the line-up the last two months. Parraz was injured early in the season in May and has been dearly missed by his team. Parraz not only was leading the team in hitting when he left the team, but his stellar defense was helping out his pitchers as well. Either way, Rage Against The Machine is back with “Guerrilla Radio” being echoed throughout Coolray Field with the re-emergence of Parraz to Gwinnett’s starting line-up.

Currently, Parraz is batting .288 with 14 runs scored, 34 hits, six doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, 11 walks, five stolen bases, alongside a .359 on-base percentage, a .407 slugging percentage and a .766 OPS.

Parraz was originally drafted in the 3rd round of the 2004 MLB Amateur Draft by the Houston Astros. He spent five seasons with the Astros before leaving for the Kansas City Royals organization. Following a brief stint with the New York Yankees organization, the Atlanta Braves signed the outfielder as a minor league free agent and he has been nothing but brilliant ever since he put on the crimson, white and blue.

One fact remains the same no matter the man’s musical preference, the G-Braves are a much better team with Jordan Parraz in it. Hopefully, the right fielder will stay healthy the rest of the season and maybe Atlanta will have an opportunity to witness what Parraz can bring to the table on a regular basis.
